Sorry to complain, but it is with the best of the intentions. I would love to see a cryptocurrency with all the advertised technicals feats of Vcash to thrive, as I felt that Bitcoin really hit a dead end on the scalability issue.
As a newcomer, these are the issues I faced outright:
- Poorly written superficial technical whitepaper. The paper I found is this: https://vcash.info/papers/vanillacoin.pdf, and I could barely follow it. It is too short, too concise and too sloppy, with poorly explained code snippets. Also incomplete, because cool stuff like ZeroTime not mentioned at all. Not on the par with better advertised cryptocurrencies. Specifically looking for something more on GitHub I found this: https://github.com/openvcash/papers, which leads to second problem;
- Badly reference resources. I couldn't find these other docs from the website, and I barely could find the client software. I was expecting something like "Downloads", but it is, instead, "Wallets", which didn't occur to me at first, because I was looking for the full node software, and wallets can be online, thin clients, hardware, etc.
- Very poor FAQ. I expected to find more details about the metioned "inflation", what is the total supply amount of coins, what is the POW mining algorithm, and such common questions. Also, the links doesn't work. There is no link to a whitepaper mentioning ZeroTime, and I couldn't find the wiki, also mentioned there.
